Following is a copy/paste of the AutoCal.txt text file
Copy it into your script,
replace @@ by two antislashes,
then run the Calibration

Note:
arguments in italic are ignored, may be removed
Please run this script as it is, straight from the AutoCalibration:
  • The AutoCalibration has done a pretty good job
    • not much need to be changed/improved
    • let's show off a bit
  • Next we shall proceed to modeling straight away:
    • we shall just have to disable @Calibrate/....
    • then run the script
    • come on: do it now!

-DN926/340
Syntax_DN
  • Please enable a last argument -DN926/340
    • and run the script, see what happens
  • This reads the raw data (DNs) at Row_926 and Line_340
    • deglint and smooth as appropriate
    • then prints the results on screen

M_002 1  2   926   340 204.0 112.0 127.0  88.0

This shows/proves that the calibration data for BPL are real georeferenced pixels.
Handy to check on any particular pixel in the image.

-DD926/340
  • Please change for -DD926/340,
    • and run the script, see what happens
  • This models the pixel located at Row_926 and Line_340
    • and displays a detailed diagram of the water column correction process
    • see Syntax_D
On a scale 0-200:
  • Lw: the Cyan profile denotes
    • the BOA water volume reflectance
  • L: the Blue profile denotes:
    • the BOA spectral radiance at Row_926 Line_340
  • LB: the Red profile denotes
    • the BOA water column corrected reflectance

  • Retrieved depth is 0.13 m
  • LBblue~=LBgreen~=LBred~=200
    • this is the result of the optimization of LsM in the AutoCal process

-DD300/500
This models the pixel at Row_300/Line_500 and displays a diagram of the water column correction process
The choice of -Lm... threshold values is very important           see Syntax_Lm
-DN300/500
8U Ls   300  500 /118.0/041.0/012.0/006.0

  • Please change for -DN300/500
    • and run the script (-smooth/... is disabled)
    • 8U Ls   300  500 /118.0/041.0/012.0/006.0
    • Lsred=12.0
    • Lsred-Lswred=12.0-11.1=0.9

===================================================
===================================================

  • Now change for -DD300/500
    • and run the script (-smooth/... is disabled)
    • Lr=(Lsred-Lswred)*CNred=1.4
    • Lm*CNred=1.6
    • Lr<Lm ==>Z_GreenSolution=5.03 m
  • Now, enable -Smooth/....
    • and run the script
    • Lr<Lm ==>Z_RedSolution=6.61 m
  • Now, change Lmred  from 1 to 3:
    • -Lm/0001.0/001.0/003.0/255.0_Lm
    • and run the script
    • Lr<Lm ==>Z_GreenSolution=5.09 m
  • Now enable -Model/v/Rt1.00/....           Syntax_Model
    • and run the script
    • Lr<Lm ==>Z_GreenSolution=5.74 m
-DD300/500
Lso   118.0  41.0  12.0   6.0

-Lm/0001.0/001.0/001.0/255.0
Red solution: Z=6.61 m
  • The Red solution should be prefered,
  • or the PAN solution when available.
=============================================
-Lm/0001.0/001.0/003.0/255.0
Green Solution: Z=5.09<m

===================================================
  • The last trick  -Model/v/Rt1.00/....
    • is an attempt to bridge that gap
