Here is the calibration diagram
obtained through the AutoCAL process
  • Too many breaking waves
  • In order to get a clean calibration, we shall
    • improve the present calibration
    • perform a first modeling
    • mask the breaking waves
    • then start all over again
  • Expand your arcachon.sh script
    • Disable the AutoCAL script
    • Append the simplified AutoCAL commandline offered in textfile autoCAL.txt  at the end of your script
  • Run arcachon.sh
Do one change at a time,
and check your calibration diagram
Here is the new optimized calibration diagram.
Too many BPL pixels are breaking waves.
We seem to have a Coastal_1+0.8 water type
with bottom detection down to a maximum of ~16 m over the brightest sands
Note that Knir=4.5 : quite neat
  • Increase LsMnir
    • @LsM/139.7/140.8/099.2_AutoCAL
    • -LsM/139.7/140.8/135.2
    • run the script
  • Use coefLM to decrease all three LsM
    • @B/tclNe/Bmin0/cLM1.00
    • -B/tclNe/Bmin0/cLM0.45
    • run the script
  • Change for NewLsM (from your screen)?
    • @LsM/139.7/140.8/135.2
    • -LsM/078.8/071.2/065.2_cLM=0.45
    • -B/tclNe/Bmin0/cLM1.00
    • run the script
  • Decrease Kgreen/Kred for a nice fit
    • @KK1_2_0.5595/Knir4.500/mask_1
    • -KK1_2_0.3900/Knir4.500/mask_1
    • run the script

We want a clean set of BPL pixels==>

==>next we shall mask out the wave pixels

Here is your new command line
arguments colored in blue may de removed

Run the AutoCAL commandline  again
  • Now we want to run the AutoCAL process again, using the new LsM... argument in the AutoCAL script
  • Remove or disable the MakePIX...and -Import... arguments
    • they are not needed any more
  • Add the -LsM/078.8/071.2/065.2   command line argument
    • in the AutoCAL script
    • this way, the LsM.shp shapefile shall not be used
  • Run the AutoCAL script  again
  • This is advisable, because there has been a large increase of LsM in the NIR band relative to other bands
    • the Soil line and the therefore the water line might be significantly affected
